TRAIN TO AIM MEETS READYSHOT

On November 10th, 2011, posted by: R.A. "Rick" Stern

As a handgun instructor for the past twenty seven (27) years, it's rare that I find new technology that assists my students in becoming proficient with the use of a handgun. That's all changed in the recent past. I've have become a true believer in the Ready Shot Target System. As a Maryland State Licensed & Certified Handgun Instructor, as well as a Washington D.C.
Licensed & Celtified Handgun Instructor, I deal with students in both jurisdictions that require an extensive amount oftraining. To enhance the training with no additional costs to the students, I created a lesson plan whereby the Ready Shot Target System has been incorporated accordingly.

The students, and the agencies they represent, are extremely appreciative of the fact that training costs can be kept under control and actual handguns are being utilized in the training. By using the Ready Shot Target System, I've incorporated state of the art technology into handgun instruction.

Handgun Instruction is not as easy as one would think if the instructor is truly a professional educator. The instructor must take into consideration the learning style of each and every student. Then a lesson plan must be created that addresses each student's learning style. Not an easy task I assure you. Using the Ready Shot Target System and the lesson plans I've created hasallowed each student to have an enhanced training experience. The audio, visual, and kinesthetic modalities of learning are all present in each class. When an instructor can have each student use all five senses (taste, touch, feel, smell &sight) or as many as practical, into lesson plans, the chances of learning and retaining skills and knowledge are greatly increased. It is not true that practice makes perfect. What is true, is perfect practice make perfect, the skills one is attempting to obtain. Ready Shot allows both the instructor and each student to perfectly practice the skills necessary in becoming a proficient handgun shooter. Once proficiency skills are obtained each student can maintain a high level of proficiency using the Ready Shot Target System without incurring excessive ammunition costs, wasted time traveling to a range, waiting to get a firing lane, etc., etc. etc.

Every handgun owner/user must force themselves to overcome any and all obstacles when it comes to becoming and remaining proficient. No excuses are justified and/or rationalized when it comes to not training or practicing shooting skills. Lives are in danger when the public at large comes into contact with a handgun owner/user who refuses to remain proficient.
